About our packing service
Packing is the part of moving that people consistently underestimate. A kitchen alone can take a full day to pack properly, and it is usually the last thing to be done and the first thing to be rushed.
We offer full packing, where we pack the entire property, and part packing, where we take on the jobs that need the most care — kitchens, glassware, artwork, books and anything fragile — and you handle the straightforward rooms yourself.
Everything is packed by room and labelled clearly, which is what makes the other end manageable. We can also unpack at your new property, so you arrive to full cupboards rather than a wall of boxes.

The questions we get asked most about this service.
Do you supply the boxes and packing materials?
Yes, materials are included in a packing booking. If you would rather pack yourself, we can supply materials separately so you are using proper boxes rather than whatever the supermarket had spare.
When would you come to pack?
Typically the day before the move, or on the morning itself for smaller properties. For a full house pack we may need a full day or more, and we will agree the schedule with you in advance.
Can I pack some rooms myself?
Absolutely, and it is a common way to keep costs down. Most people handle wardrobes, books and the loft, and ask us to do the kitchen and anything breakable.
How will I know what is in each box?
Every box is labelled with the room it came from and what is in it, so it goes to the right room at the other end and you can find the kettle on day one. We can provide a written inventory if you would like one.
Will you unpack at the other end?
Yes, if you book unpacking. We will unpack, place things where you want them and take the empty boxes away, which is often the part people most appreciate.
Is there anything you cannot pack?
Some items cannot travel safely in a removal van — aerosols, fuels, paint, gas cylinders and similar. We will give you a list when you book so you can deal with those separately.
